* Update - more pics!

First of all, Adlin's back!!! At long last! So the SAC mafia people met up at the airport and had a late lunch together before Adlin's flight arrived. Meeting up with Alex, Zee and Denise had been really, really fun. We discussed (and spent half our time laughing) our plans to set up our holy school where we secure all our students a place in heaven. But being the crazy future-nuns we are, with Denise being Mother Superior (with the cross crotch stitch), I foresee our students crying for mercy and parents suing us for child abuse and violation of human rights (think baths from the pond at Tekong when Denise parts it like Moses and the Red Sea, wine from water coolers and bread as the only staple..alright, maybe fish as well). Then again, we'll have all the support from Vatican City. Hah!

Finished lunch and dessert (and laughing) at about 4.30pm or so when Adlin's flight was scheduled to land at 4.15pm, so we happily thought we had plenty of time since she still has to collect her luggage. And then we checked out that big-screen-that-shows-all-flights-info-thingy and found out her plane already landed at 3.28pm!! That's like an eff-ing 45 mins early! And without any means of communication, we had to leave the airport without her. To cut the long story short, we ended up on a road trip around half the island and finally settled at Mind's Cafe at Dhoby Ghaut. Played Ugly Dolls (Ugly, ugly, ugly!), Saboteur and Taboo and had plenty of fun. Laughed alot especially during the Taboo game since I had the misfortune to pair up with Alex. This is an idea of how our game went, when Alex was describing and I had to guess.

Alex: Something that guys have... -points something down there-
Emy: ....P****? 0_o (erm..i don't do porn here, but I guessed that part of the body...I mean, SHE said something guys have and did that funny action)
Alex: -starts laughing manically-

After a couple more tries (and thanks to my smartness), I guessed the word correctly. The answer was six-pack. Wtheck! But anyways, all my questions had to be those sort...things like breast implants and wonderbra etc. Why me? Why does it have to be me who gets all these embarrassing words? Rah!

My lunch at Popeyes with JH (who requested for his name to be in pink cos he's "special")

My dessert at Swenson's with the Mafia

In the middle of a game of Taboo...I wonder what word Denise was trying to describe. Hmm..

Whee!! I finally got my very first bass and amps! It's black and white and I'm naming it Quincy after Jason Foxtrot's pet iguana. I looove Quincy! Wahahaha! Maggie and I met up and ended up being taitais and had afternoon tea at Gelare while waiting for QQ. We shared a glass of ice lemon tea and super yummy blueberry cheesecake and a fruitti sundae. Seriously, the sundae is one of the best I've had - ice cream with blueberry and strawberry sauce (wasn't artificially sweet and had bits of berries in it) topped with fresh strawberries and canned peaches, whipped cream and chocolate. Yum! We slacked on the cushy red sofa amidst the busy mall and relished in passers-by's envious glares. Wahahaha! Serves QQ right for being late too! We finally bought our new stuff after QQ came and lugged mine and QQ's new guitars and amps back to my place (we took cab actually) and set up everything and started looking for songs to play. By the time we're done, it was pretty late so we went to 85 market to eat and returned home.

My new red hair! Which isn't obvious in this pic... Lol!

The yummy yummy yums! (Ok...I have a limited vocab)

Met up on Monday again and started our very first practise! It was fun playing around and hanging out. Maggie was playing her guitar like a pipa while QQ was playing Indian porn music on his...and we kept laughing like mad everytime we went out of tune. But anyways, we did a recording of our first attempt on Hoobastank's The Reason (well, it's overplayed but it's one of the easiest songs to do) starring Beauty the schnauzer! I know we sound bad...like really bad but it's a first! =))

(My 538th attempt to upload the video here has failed. So I shall just give up...or wait till the com techie comes back from his camp and offers help. Or maybe blogger just doesn't want me to spoil your eardrums.)

Yesterday was swimming at Maggie's followed by a trip to the library then jamming at my place and dinner in town with the class people. Ate at MOF, some Jap restaurant whose food is pretty okay, but the spoon provided for the bento is like, tiny. Played a round of bowling and I won! Wahahaha! Partially due to the fact that the bowling thingy is screwed up...but we all had fun cheering for each other and screaming like crazy like we played really pro but in fact, we screamed whenever someone had finally knocked his/her first pin down. Lol! Cam-whored abit after that...Okay, maybe quite alot after all...but mostly of YR and Ise (those ultimate camwhores. Tsktsk)

I accidentally sprinkled water on the mirror after washing my hands, that's why Maggie's image looks wet =X

Toilets are the nicest place to camwhore at (provided it's not crowded). My hair don't look red enough! =((

WhooHoo! Me and the bowling ball!

The ball-goes-straight-into-the-longkang people. Lol!

The girls and the balls! Wahahah. The only sorta-guy around is taking the pic for us (i.e Niko)

Niko's pose looks like he's imitating Mocca. Groove Nation's over there!

Today was also swimming early in the morning (and boy, do I mean early) at Maggie's followed by grocery shopping and then to my place to cook lunch for us and Jiaying. Maggie and I cooked pasta, mushroom and sausage omelette and boiled broccoli with salad cream. While I was dealing with the veggies, Maggie was in-charge of cutting the food and knowing her utter love for sausages, I warned her not to cut the whole packet of 10 freaking sausages and guess what happened? She did the very thing I told her not to.

And this is what you get for gluttony. This can feed a small African village I tell you.

Ohmytian! JiaYing the taitai volunteered to do the dishes. What a historical moment.

Red is Love! ♥

First of all, I finally figured out (okay...with some help) why my previous attempts to change my blogskin didn't work. Long story and lots of confusion....but it's finally changed! Pretty, pretty blogskin right? I know I'm making all the readers of this blog go hungry...I'm so evil. Wahahaha! The strawberries look soooo tempting...Ahhhhhh!

Sunday was Aviva Open 2008 finals! This year, I missed out on line judging, which is such a pity. But I went to watch the finals again along with Maggie, Jiaying and Niko! We managed to get the tickets at student price...and the guy didn't even asked to check my IC! Am I that childish-looking? Rah! Sadly, there weren't many favourite players competing this year, partially due to the upcoming Olympic Games. There was no Caiyun+Fu Haifeng - the ultimate pair. I remember Jy and I supporting them last year and it was a really, really good game.

Despite that, this year's badminton open is pretty entertaining to watch too, in another sense. The mixed doubles finalists were from Indonesia and England. There were many, many Indonesia supporters amidst the spectators at first, especially since they were the world rank 1st for mixed doubles. However after the 1st set, England put up a really good fight and won the respect of many when they won the first set. I really admired Kellogg from the England team as well as she was really much better than I expected. Then her attitude turned really horrible when they were losing their third set. And this subsequently led to her getting a yellow card and then a red card, and many boos from the spectators. Such a disappointment that she had such bad sportsmanship. Sigh.

The men's singles was the match of the day especially when it was Indonesia's Simon versus Malaysia's Lee Choong Wei! It was very exciting during the first set and LCW is indeed an elite player (world rank 2nd!) with his accurate attacks at the corners. Really impressive! Second set was really total ownage when LCW was leading by 15-0. Though the 4 of us were supporting LCW (even Niko that Indonesian...bloodtraitor!) cheered like mad when Simon finally scored his first point. So happy for him lar. Lol! But the score was still 21-4...

The highlight of the day for me was (ironically) not the game but the fact that Peter Gade was sitting at the players' stand, watching the game. It was the Peter Gade!!! And best of all? We got him to autograph and take pictures with us!!! -melts with excitement-

My Aviva Open ticket...with his signature! =))

Omg!!! It's Peter Gade! Ahhhhhh!

We were like super shy when we went up to him...and that's why I look so stiff and ruined the whole photo. Lol! This is like even closer than when we line-judged for the players! Lol! Sadly, there were no Tan Chun Seang (who is super young and yet put up a great fight against Peter Gade, I'm so proud of him) and Wong Choon Hann to watch =(( Aviva Open 2009, here I come!

Today was makeover day! Jy and I went to the saloon near my place for a haircut. I dyed my hair red while she permed her hair. Wahahaha! Big change! I'm scared the colour won't suit me but Jy thinks red is cool though...so the result? Hahahha. I'll see people's reaction tomorrow before I give the verdict if I'm happy with my hair. After that was pigging out at 85 market again. We ate barbeque stingray and chicken wings. Yum!!!

Tomorrow would be lunch with JH then meeting Maggie and QQ to go look for our electric guitars...I might be getting my very first bass! So exciting! Hope we'll have a fruitful trip. =)))

you are the only reason for my precious smile ♥

My first post ever! (Well, sorta) ♥

First of all,

SURPRISE!!!!

You guys must be thinking "At looooong last. Finally she blogs again". Lol! I think it has nearly been an entire year since I've blogged. Well, it's been 11 months and 5 days to be exact =X
I found some really, really pretty blogskins that I wanted to use but blogger just seems to hate me and it refuses to work for me. Pfft.

Alot has happened over the past year. That is an understatement. Hence, there'll be loads to blog about...but I shall be merciful and spare you guys all the nitty-gritty, boring details of my boring life. Haha. I shall just update randomly =))

Let's see what's new...I'm finally done with the dreaded A's and have received my dreaded results. Anyway, I got into NUS FASS and I heard many other SACians would be going there as well. So see you guys there! Also, I'm finally done with my 6 months (and 1 week extended) contract with Starhub and am currently jobless again...till I start my first tutoring assignment next week that is. I still miss my colleagues... so here's some reminiscing

This is a preview of stuff I used to do when I was bored.

Transfer of ownership of my seat! Hahaha!

I'll miss crapping with this guys at the back of the office. I'm sorry for nearly making Caifeng flash and making Asri infertile by accidentally shooting rubber bands at his *ahem

And I'll miss my other colleagues...

Huiqi and her obesession with strawberry milk tea thanks to my influence =))

Juraimee, whose all time favourite hobby is to bully me

And these other guys whom I won't miss since they'll be haunting me at NUS. AHHHH!!!
Except for one extra at NTU. Lol.

After my work has officially ended, I've been trying to make my free time useful and tried to make it as productive as possible. Went out with Maggie to eat at Gelare on half-price-waffle day and being the little greedy pigs we are, we shared one single solitary waffle with four large scoops of ice cream! We were eating waffle with ice cream rather than ice cream with waffle. Wahahaha! Indulgence~

There's soy chocolate obsession, macademia nut, rum and raisin and my new favourite - banana walnut! YUMMY!!! Doesn't it just sound and look tempting?! JY! Look at what you missed out on! Lol! Can we go there next tues again? Hahahah!

After that was shopping at Daiso for random stuff and I took a long time deciding on which scented essential oil i should get. When I finally decided on the Sakura scent one, I changed my mind about getting any. =X And for dinner, we went to eat sushi! Wanted to be adventurous so we decided to get a bottle of sake. We tried the one with the least alcohol content though.

It was not bad but I think we're going to try some hot sake the next time. Hahahaha. It's such a pretty bottle though, and I took it home. It's still sitting on my desk since I have not found any use for it yet.

Staying at home also made me wanna learn new things so I went online, did some research and decided to try out this non bake recipe for oreo cheesecake!! It was fun beating the mixture and making the cake. Then I made Maggie my guinea pig when I went over to her place in the evening for a swim.

My first attempt at oreo cheesecake! Not bad, huh?

I think it was relatively successful for a first attempt. Except that it was a little too salty and the biscuit base wasn't yummy enough. Hahaha. So I worked on it and did it a second time! Drumrolls....

My masterpiece *applause

It looks pretty right?! Admit it! Wahahaha! My family thinks the taste is an improvement and this time I took great pains to decorate it nicely. JH is going to try my masterpiece on Saturday. I hope it doesn't spoil by then. Wahahahah!

Yesterday was watching Sex and the City with Alex. The movie is pretty good and I personally think that the clothes they wear are pretty ugly but they look so super nice in them. Sarah Jessica Parker is just so beautiful... After that, I went back to TPJC to meet up with Yiwei, Si Ying, Fenglin and Ise since the juniors were having their Interact Camp. Chat and laughed non-stop and kept getting scolded by Mark =X We went through the route for the nightwalk after that...though it wasn't the actual thing, we felt creeped out just hearing what they were going to do. They even dripped fake (but realistic looking) blood and scribbled on the toilet walls with the words "P.S I love you" (which looks really scary)...and even soaked their hands in ice just to make their hands feel cold when they grab the juniors to scare them. Too bad we had to leave then and couldn't help scare the juniors. What a pity...

Happy Birthday to us! We celebrated all our birthdays together during the chalet seeing as we hardly get to spend our actual brithdays together. Sigh. This pic was from a looong time ago. Hope we'll have our mafia outing soon...especially after Adlin dah-ling comes back! Zee and Maddie, send me pics aye?

Alrighty. I shall end my extremely long and boring entry here. Ciao!
